Charles Breder joined Keller and Heckman in 1984 after four years of industry experience, followed by 13 years of government service at the Food and Drug Administration.
Since joining Keller and Heckman, Dr. Breder has been active in all aspects of FDA-related work, including foods, food packaging and medical devices. A Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry, Dr. Breder developed new plastics while in industry, and helped establish and then supervised the FDA's Packaging Laboratory. Dr. Breder has published numerous scientific papers and several book chapters, and he frequently lectures on the testing and regulation of food packaging materials.
